Projects

Most of us that have worked for large organizations could list hundreds, if not thousands of projects that we have worked on.  Professional life is about projects and it's these projects that define our career.  As Tom Peters remarked: "Wow Projects": projects that add value, projects that matter, projects that make a difference, projects that leave a legacy. Distinguished project work is the future of work -- for the simple reason that more than 90% of white-collar jobs are in jeopardy today. They are in the process of being transformed beyond identification -- or completely eliminated.  Here is a small list of projects that have defined my career over the years.

Information Tech | Enterprise Integration | Architecture | Internal Web | External Web

Information Technology

Sharepoint Social Software Online Ordering
With over 80,000 Sharepoint Sites deployed under our guidance, our organization defined what it means to succeed in the world of Collaboration.  Our approach focused on the business success and not just the technology. As social software emerged, our organization was at the forefront ensuring real value was created.  We showed how internal customers needed social solutions to solve their business problems. With great design, solid business processes, and end to end automation, our organization created an internal online ordering system that processed over $50 million in transactions.

Enterprise Integration

Enterprise Metadata Reuse Strategy Deployment Solutions
Winner of the 2004 Wilshire Award, our strategy not only focused on the database metadata but the entire architecture portfolio of technology assets. This effort established our company as the standard for Asset Lifecycle Management in the industry as well as defining the foundation to move to the next level of maturity which included corporate governance for reusable assets. Revamped the use of the change management application in order to support a five-tiered environment. The strategy included training new developers, establishing a project management methodology, and establishing a point of contact for the strategic planning of future releases.

Architecture

Data Architecture Collaboration Other Technologies
Performed the role as Enterprise data Architect which focused on eight core areas of data management. Responsible for integrating the data architecture with the repository solutions. I served as the technical architect for collaboration and social software which included the enterprise roadmap and game plans for moving forward. Besides data and collaboration, I have also server as the lead architect for wireless technologies, office productivity, development tools, search technologies, and many others.

Internal Web Environments

COS Support Mobility Services Information Technology
One of the most extensive client-support environments within the enterprise.  Our organization simply changed the corporate culture for collaboration and social software with our online environment. This environment focused on the communications and automated business processes for the entire Mobility Services organization. We spent almost a year working with the Information Technology Communications team to convert their entire online portfolio to Sharepoint.

Over the years our organization has done hundreds of internal web environments for just about every type of department and business function. While my job function may not have been focusing on the web, I try to bring my extensive knowledge of HTML, CSS, Design, and Style to every Information Technology job.

External Web Environments

RTodd.com Sharepoint Designs Mobile Ingenuity

SharePoint Design Gallery is a web site dedicated to bringing you a collection of businesses that are using SharePoint for creating business value for their customers. we worked with Mobile Ingenuity to deploy an internal customer facing collaborative site to share information and critical support documentation.
