What Fax Machine?

Not sure why but I found myself in the mail room yesterday and took notice of couple of things. The first was the fax machine and the other was the mail drop. It doesn’t seem that long ago when these two objects were the most used items in communication. Today, both are all but dead now. Email, mobile devices, and the Intranet have replaced these and many others, including the desk phone. Now one has to wonder if the next generation will render these tools as obsolete. Maybe it won’t be the Web 2.0 tools but we know one thing is for sure and that they will be adapted, altered, and changed over time.
