Marketing Enterprise 2.0

One of the topics that really doesn’t get much discussion are the concepts of marketing and branding within the Enterprise 2.0 space. I don’t really want to spend time on dwelling on the basic definitions or utility of this type of effort. I would rather just provide a simple collection of our activities we do to constantly communicate to the enterprise that we are here and ready to service your Collaborative and Social Software needs.
1. Post communications to the Enterprise Weblog 4 out of 5 days per week
2. Post topical wiki pages on Sharepoint, blogs, wiki, Enterprise 2.0 and Web 2.0
3. Promote best practices by hosting monthly Communities of Practice sessions
4. Reward random customers with monthly book (E20 Topics only) giveaways.
5. Reward repeat customers with pens or thank you notes
6. Recognize the customers that provide positive feedback on the team
7. Publish in the various newsletters within the company
8. Utilize scenario based slides, video, and podcasts (Like Meet Charlie, only we have Meet Colleen)
9. Provide easy to integrate E20 overviews for boring staff meetings
10. Celebrate and promote milestones like 2,000th Wiki or 25,000th Collaborative Site
11. Cross-sell with other products like search, web conferencing, mobile computing, etc.
12. Last but not least, we build the perfect online representation for our client-support environment that not only matches the style but also is professionally designed. You must be able to showcase your product in an impressive fashion. The showroom is for your best products with the most options and the Intranet is our showroom.
I am sure we do other things but the point is to keep the message and value in front of the enterprise as much as possible.
