Here is my conference overview session fro Web 2.0 technologies within the enterprise. While this session will focus on the Data Professional, the majority of information could be applied to any technology profession.

“If you don't like change, you're going to like irrelevance even less." General Eric Shinseki. Change is coming and coming fast. The next transformation for value add is almost upon us and you are witnessing this with the success of Wikipedia, YouTube, Weblogs, Flickr, etc. The transformation from a command and control mindset that described Enterprise 0.0 to the open consumption model of Enterprise 1.0 is almost complete. The phase, where content is created in collaborative manner, is starting to take roots inside the corporation (Enterprise 2.0). The Web 2.0 environment can provide you new tools and skills so you can solve real business problems in a cost effective manner by enabling the network effect, mass participation, and agility that is inherent with this type of technology.
