Design is important and a huge interest for me personally. I started by
Personal Brand Site development back in 1999 and as you can see the designs have
progressed and degressed over the years. More than anything, it's
interesting to see the transformation and design differences over the years.

2010 Version: RTodd.com
Well here we are today. I still have that wood background but perhaps a little
darker. The elments of great design are all there and I have moved back to
ASP, .net, and other technologies. Not sure where this design is going but I want
to continue to learn more and more about web design and usability.

2009 Version: RTodd.com
Wood be gone! Only a few small changes in 2009. My attention moved on to something else. In fact, this design held strong for several
years as I focused on the book and other publications.

2007 Version: RTodd.com
Wood? Everyone needs to have wood around. Check out that wood
background offset by the green header. Designs come and go. This one
should have went a little faster. That being said, a smoother interaction
along with more social media components.

2006 Version: RTodd.com
Not just blogs but new forms of social media, like LinkedIn, had emerged.
I started to do a litttle better about creating topology and style which
increased my usability. I also added Patents and an online portfolio.
Both of which would change over time.

2005 Version: RTodd.com
This version didn't last long but I had a blast creating it. The header
actually chnaged based on the time of the day and the weather conditions.
I think I drew 45 images to represent the various times of day and weather.
Also, the various phases of the moon were added but while interesting, the new
functionality didn't add much to the site which continued to grow. Also,
this new thing called a Blog was started and I was just trying to undersatnd
this thing called social media.

2004 Version: RTodd.com
By 2004, I had completed my dissertation and all the requirements for the Ph.D.
My site moved more toward in technology informational site used to communicate
my publication efforts. I also discovered Flash technology and animation
soon followed. I was still using Frontpage but had upgraded to 2003 by
this time.

2002 Version: RTodd.com
By 2002, I started to have more content than sense. I was deep into the
dissertation and started to publish in the academic world. Aditionally, my
metadata experience opened up some new opportunites in speaking. Then, a
monhtly column emerged and like I said, more content than design sense.

2001 Version: Original RTodd.com
Personal Branding in 2001? for a Technology professional? Yes, my first
iteration of RTodd.com. I purchased the domain name and started to learn
more about HTML, CSS and design techniques. One of the classes I enjoyed
was Human Computer Interaction and here you can see my first progression.

|
2000 Version: TrustStudy.com
Upon entering the Dissertation phase, I developed a new site in which I could do
the actual research and disseminate the findings. About the same time, I
started to move into a couple of directions when it came to publishing and
speaking. Eventually, the survey tool was documented in the dissertation
and the site retired.

1999 Version: PhDSurvey.com
Yes, this is where is all started with the development of this site dedicated to
my Ph.D. In general the site focused on my journey through the Novas
Southeastern course work
and eventually into the dissertation phase. The site was an ASP site with
plenty of Database interaction to showcase the research and class work.
